Top Five Worst Movies I Have Seen

Top Five Worst Movies I Have Seen

We all have our favorite movies. I have made a few lists already full of them. But what about the movies that were just so terrible you either couldn’t make it through or you were left wondering what the hell you just watched? There are some just badly written ones, poorly acted, or just plain bizarre. My mom had always loved the old “B” movies, but even they are works of art compared to some of these. I have a lot more than this tiny list, so it may make a comeback when I remember the others. I may have just put them out of my mind so I would never have to relive that experience.

1. Manos: The Hands of Fate (Mystery Science Theater 3000 Edition)

This was named as one of the worst movies of all time. I never heard of it until I started watching Mystery Science Theater 3000. I think it was the only way I could have ever watched it. They couldn’t even make it funny enough for me to finish it. I can’t even tell you what it was about because it made no sense. Have a look for yourself and see if you can sit through the entire movie.

This one was at least watchable and funny. Could I have sat through the whole thing without the commentary? No. No, I couldn’t. The acting is so bad, but a good kind of bad if you know what I mean. It is a horrible movie and the “hobgoblins” look terrible.

2. Hobgoblins (Mystery Science Theater 3000 Edition)

3. Super Mario Brothers: The Movie (1993)

Hear me out. This one I don’t mind. I have watched it more than once. It is terrible in the fact that it was poorly cast and just the overall writing was horrible. I don’t own it, nor do I watch it regularly. But if I happen to see it say on a streaming service, I will probably sit through it again.

I do love Dana Carvey and he does great impressions. So, when I went into this movie I thought it would be a laugh a minute, or at the very least get some laughs out of it. I was wrong. It was just over the top, too much of the same and I didn’t laugh. I won’t watch it again. It is a shame because I think it could have been a lot better.

4. The Master of Disguise

5. The Last Airbender

If this movie was not based on something that was tremendously better, perhaps it could be watchable. The casting was bad, they had ample material to pull from and managed to still mess it up. I was excited for it when it was announced. I loved the show. Netflix has a series coming out in February, which I am looking forward to watching. I hope it will follow the already massively popular original instead of making something as bad as the movie. Fingers crossed.

Like I said in the beginning, there are plenty more and I will revisit at a later date. There are always bad movies being made. Some of them are funny or ridiculous enough to be a good, bad movie. However, these, are not so much.  How about you, what movies made you go “What the hell was that”?
